Cathy Lisa Schneider

Cathy Lisa Schneider is associate professor at the American University, School of International Service, in Washington, DC. She is the author of Police Power and Race Riots : Urban Unrest in Paris and New York (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2014) ; Shantytown Protest in Pinochet’s Chile (Temple University Press, 1995) ; and co-editor with Ernesto Castañeda of Collective Violence, Contentious Politics and Social Change : A Charles Tilly Reader (Routledge, 2017).
