Héloïse Nez

Héloïse Nez is a temporary teaching and research assistant in political science at the Université de Paris-13 and a postdoctoral fellow at CRH-LAVUE (Housing Research Centre at the Laboratory for Architecture, the City, Urban Planning and the Environment). She defended her thesis in sociology, entitled “Les savoirs citoyens dans l’urbanisme participatif : regards croisés sur les expériences de Paris et Cordoue” (“Citizens’ knowledge in the context of participatory urban planning: a comparison of experiences in Paris and Córdoba”), on 8 November 2010, as part of a co‑supervision arrangement with the Université de Paris‑8 and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She recently published, with Julien Talpin, “Généalogies de la démocratie participative en banlieue rouge : un renouvellement du communisme municipal en trompe-l’œil ?” (“Genealogies of participatory democracy in ‘red’ suburbs: an illusory renewal of municipal communism?”), Genèses, no. 79, 2010, pp. 97–115.
