André Micoud

André Micoud, a sociologist, is an honorary director of research within the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), based at the Centre Max Weber in Saint-Étienne. His work focuses on seeking to understand changes in rural spaces via social movements to protect wildlife (nature reserves, parks and natural spaces, relationships with the animal kingdom, biodiversity, etc.). Preferring to adopt a hermeneutic approach to his work, he studies the figures, notions and categories that correspond to this concept.
