Raphaël Languillon-Aussel

Raphaël Languillon-Aussel holds the Agrégation teaching qualification in geography, is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Lyon and is a former student of Tokyo and Chuo Universities. He is currently preparing a PhD at the Université Lyon‑2 Lumière, and also teaches at the University of Nantes, where he is a temporary lecturer and research assistant. His work concerns urban renaissance policies in Japan, as well as urbanization processes in the Asia–North Pacific region. He is the author of Oku (published in 2012 by Éditions Baudelaire), a short novel set in Tokyo, in which geography meets fantasy.
